there was a time when things were different , much different than they are now.

a time when things were tense, a time when we didnt know how.

there was a time you sent me a photo of a cat, stating things will be alright.

a time we fought all afternoon, begging for daylight.

there was a time you showed me sadness, a time you showed me fear.

there was a time i wanted to stop listening a time you brought me here.

there was a day that we once said, “everything must change” 

a day we both sat down and helped eachother rearrange.

there was a time the days were longer, the air was warmer too.

a time i looked into your eyes and stated”i love you”

there wasnt a day after that i had a doubt in my mind.

a day that went by and i thought “god, im so glad hes mine”

now theres a day every year ill be more thankful for than most.

a day that marks the beginning of something so so close.

youre the day i waited forever for, for something oh so dear.

the day ill mark forever, forever ill be here.
